Coffee maestro Felix Teiretzbacher of “Kaffeelix” collaborated closely with Petra Wieser from “Mindful Design and Craft” to develop the ultimate filter coffee set. In our kiosk konversation, Felix delves into his profound love for coffee and unveils the captivating narrative behind his coffee venture “Kaffeelix”:

Could you introduce yourself and share a little about your label and its idea/ philosophy?

My name is Felix and I’m a coffee roaster. My roastery Kaffeelix is based in St. Pölten and we focus on high quality filter coffee – but of course we do espresso as well! To highlight the origin, natural flavors and characteristics of each coffee, we roast our coffees rather light; a principle, that made me the World Coffee Roasting Champion in 2022.

As one of the featured labels at the upcoming // COFFEE, PILLOWS, BOOKS, AND THE MOON // pop-up event, what can visitors expect to see from your brand?

Well, coffee! We partnered with Petra from Mindful Design And Craft and supported her in creating her filter set with everything we know about coffee and brewing it. Since then, a wonderful friendship developed and we’re very happy to be able to brew our coffees not only in an incredibly beautiful, but as well highly functional dripper. because for us mindfulness also implies functionality.

In your opinion, what are the essential elements for a perfectly cozy weekend? 

Sleeping in, a cup of coffee, a nice walk through the woods – and of course to have your beloved ones near you.

How do you typically prepare your coffee during a leisurely weekend? 

Making coffee with Petra’s mindful design filter set is a wonderful ritual to start a slow Sunday morning. Smelling the beans, listening to the sound of dripping coffee and enjoying the first sip… you can’t beat that.

When you’re looking to relax and unwind, where is your go-to spot to curl up with a comfortable pillow?

I love to take a nap on my couch, if that counts ;)

Do you have a book recommendation that you believe would be perfect for a cozy weekend?

I guess it’s not a classic recommendation, but what I love most is reading books to my little one – discovering new things and entering fantastic worlds while being cosy in your home and cuddling is simply great.
